Purchased the EAS111 shortly after it being introduced. In hindsight, it doesn’t seem like it was long after that when the “new and improved” EAS112 was introduced making me wonder if I hadn’t been premature in purchasing the EAS111.
Rob, I still play on my original EAS111 alto. Mainly because I prefer a horn without the high F# key but also because it’s a great saxophone. If you don’t need the high F# key (like me) and don’t use the mouthpiece that came with the sax (like many people), you did not miss out. You just got that saxophone at a steal with the introductory price.
